Its not simply about the strike rate, it is strike rate x average price, so for example 55% SR x 10/11 AP will make a profit, but 55% SR x 4/5 AP will not. Similarly, 85% SR x 1/5 AP will make a profit, 85% x 3/20 AP will not. My strike rate on horse racing is around 25%, so an average price of 3/1 is break even. Anything over that is profit
